■About Love Live! Sunshine!!

The second installment within the multimedia Love Live! series centered around the core theme of ‘A story we can make come true’ follows a group of nine high school girls as they become school idols. The first season (13 episodes) of the TV anime premiered in July 2016, followed by the second season (13 episodes) that premiered in October 2017. The movie “Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie: Over The Rainbow!!” was released in January 2019. The series also features a wide array of real-world collaborations with Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture (the actual setting of the anime) to showcase the area’s charm and local highlights.

Aqours is the school idol group featured in Love Live! Sunshine!! comprising nine girls. In 2018, they performed in the 69th Annual Kohaku Uta Gassen. They also held two solo shows at Tokyo Dome, first in 2018 and again 2022. On June 30, 2024, they announced their finale show as the nine-girl group to mark their 9th anniversary. Additionally, their first and final documentary movie, “Aqours Documentary,” was released nationwide in September 2025.
